Ziggy's Mitzvah Project
From Ziggy...
Horizon Community School
My mitzvah project will benefit Horizon Community School (HCS). HCS is a preschool in Marin City that is a public private partnership with Marin Horizon School, which is where I go. My friend Ronan and I chose this to support, because our grade visits the school a lot and we want to help more. We will be creating a service project to benefit HCS. More information on that is coming soon. We will also each be doing our own fundraiser for HCS.
The Fundraiser
My fundraiser will be a GOLF-A-THON (surprise surprise).
The golf-a-thon will take place from February 17-February 20. Over these dates, I will be playing as many holes as I can. This idea came from Youth on Course, which is an organization that provides young people with access to life-changing opportunities through golf. They have an annual fundraiser called the 100-hole-hike to help raise money. Instead of doing that, I’m doing my own thing.
My goal is to play as many rounds as I can in those four days over my February break. I think that will be somewhere between 95-115 holes.
How to Help
I am asking for donations for this golf-a-thon.
You can make a commitment in one of two ways:
OPTION 1 make a set donation
OPTION 2: donate an amount per hole. This could be for any amount, from pennies to dollars. Just remember, I am a golf machine and may exceed my estimated number of holes.
Please go to this link to
make your donation.
Note: if anyone wants to join me for any round that week, I am open to playing partners, so please let me know.
Thank you for contributing and participating in my mitzvah project!
Sincerely,
Ziggy
